Vibez Project: Vibraphone & Electronics featuring Simon Limbrick

Includes my work "The Five" for vibraphone and reactive audiovisuals.

The Vibez project is a performance-based project focused on the vibraphone, incorporating extended playing techniques, alternative compositional processes and technologies, including responsorial sound, visual media and sound diffusion. Each of the works in the programme explore a different approach to composing for the vibraphone.

Works by Battey, Limbrick, Stockhausen, Carpenter, Stewart, Vitkauskaite, Owen, & White.

Premiere Performances of "The Five"

My new piece, The Five (for vibraphone and responsive audiovisuals), commissioned by percussionist Andrew Spencer, will be premiered by him in his U.S. tour autumn 2015. The first three performances of his tour are October 30 at University of Northern Colorado, November 3 at San Jose State University, and November 6 at Arizona State University.

Clonal Colonies: Richard Eigner Remix at Vienna Independent Shorts

I am very pleased to announce Richard Eigner's remixed, live 5.1 performance of Fast Runners (Movement I of Clonal Colonies) at the Vienna Independent Shorts film festival this week — at Gartenbaukino, Vienna on May 23rd — apparently with "musical triangle" additions.

Clonal Colonies at New World Symphony, Miami

The New World Symphony, in conjunction with Internet2 and the Trans-European Research and Education Networking Association (TERENA), presents the upcoming Network Performing Arts Production Workshop April 26–27, 2014.

The annual three-day conference allows academics, artists, technology professionals and arts administrators to learn about and use cutting-edge distance-education technology; discuss artistic endeavors that utilize advanced networking applications; and explore new ways of incorporating visual technology in performances. And this year attendees are invited to experience this free Musicians' Forum featuring new music leveraging technology.

The first movement of Clonal Colonies will be performed as part of this workshop.

The amazing flautist Carla Reese will perform Pater Noster's Tricyclic Companion again this summer at Nonclassical at the Macbeth in Hoxton, July 3, 2013.
