50th-Birthday Concert

De Montfort University hosts a 50th-birthday concert of my works, a retrospective of works I created since arriving at DMU in 2004. This is an unusual opportunity to hear the full sets of multi-part works that were designed to be screened together: the Luna Series, Clonal Colonies, and Estuaries Series.

New Showings: Melbourne, Belfast, Bath

A few new events to announce:

Estuaries 3 will be appearing as part of the Seeing Sound Symposium at Bath Spa University 23-35 March, 2018. I will also be presenting a paper on aspects of audiovisual counterpoint in the work.

Simon Limbrick will be performing The Five at the Sonorities Festival in Belfast on 22 April, 2018.

The Melbourne International Animation Festival will be screening Estuaries 2 as part of their 'Installation Animation' programme, 18-12 June 2018.

'Estuaries 2' will be screening in the Animation Marathon in Athens, 9-12 November 2017.

'Estuaries 2' in MA/IN Festival, Italy, December 1-6 2017

Estuaries 2 has been selected for the MAtera INtemedia Festival (MA/IN) 2017, in Matera, Italy, and will screen in the 'live' programme.  The festival runs December 1-6.

CVM Screening, Santa Rosa, CA

Clonal Colonies will screen as part of "Visual Music and Early Abstract Films". Chroma Gallery and Center for Visual Music present an outdoor salon-style screening of abstract films from the CVM archive, exploring the relationships between images and music.

Fractured Gestures, Berlin

Mercurius is part of the Fractured Gestures show curated by Robert Seidel, which will screen next at Image Movement in Berlin on September 19.

Portable Dome Screening - Atlanta Atlanterium July and August

Estuaries 1 and 2 will be screening July 29 and August 26, 2017 in Piedmont Park, Atlanta in a portable dome projection as part of the Atlanterium audio-visual concert series. The Facebook event listing is here. Plus there will be a final concert September 16.
